Skin diseases caused by Demodex mites are difficult to
eradicate because it preferred to remain at the base of hair follicles and rare
dog living on the surface of the skin.
Causes
The main cause is an attack Demodectic Mange (demodex
folliculorum mite) that can only be seen through a microscope just because it
is very small. These parasites invade up under the skin and especially happy to
be at the root of the hair. This type of skin disease is rather difficult to be
cured only with a smear of ointment alone. Should look for drugs that can
penetrate into the hair follicle.
Factors that affect:
- Sanitation cages are not good.
- Manure and urine less rapidly cleared so that wet dog body which then lead to skin diseases.
- Factors breed of dog, which is kind of short haired dogs tend to be susceptible to skin disease.
- Allergies to food or eat stale and moldy food. Within 2 days there will be very itchy and then trigger skin diseases.
- Disturbance certain vitamin and mineral deficiencies.
- Cages are too moist, less incoming sunlight, poor ventilation.
- The period of feather loss is too long, for example during breastfeeding.
